Job Summary

We are looking for an ambitious, creative, and energetic candidate for the role of “Business Development Manager” to help us expand our clientele in the Philippines.

The selected candidate will be at the forefront of the ECC’s recruitment drive in the Philippines and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

The tasks are not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities, as all employees are required to be flexible, dynamic and have the capacity to think creatively when presented with challenges.

 

Responsibilities

  1. Represent ECC professionally and with high integrity and promote its reputation in the Philippines with the intent to recruit international students to attend ECC listed partnered institutions in Canada & US.
  2. Support ECC Global recruitment team, providing expertise on regional recruitment drive which meets the local needs and identify and recommend new initiatives for ECC International strategic partnership.
  3. Ensure effective and consistent communication with ECC Corporate office.
  4. Use of CRM and social media to deliver key messages and to engage with the prospective students. Promote the culture of collaboration, customer focus and quality services.
  5. Oversee human resource functions for the Philippines ECC Regional Head Office, including hiring, evaluation, performance management, discipline, and labor relations.

Looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum 2 years of international student recruitment experience for secondary and/or post-secondary institutions
  • Proven experience in an administrative leadership role within an organization.
  • Fluent in English and Filipino Languages.
  • He/ She must be living in Manila, Philippines.
  • Comfortable using computer software including email, Microsoft Office, Dropbox.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM will be considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner in a demanding high stress, fast paced environment over a sustained period.
  • Good judgment, strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Strategic Direction and Business Development

  • Increase partnerships and student recruitment.
  • Implement new revenue generating and business development plans for International student recruitment.
  • Define and execute short and long-term business plans for the portfolio that includes specific programming, revenue objectives and defined deliverables.
  • Analyze economic, market and enrollment trends and influences initiating changes and improvements to strategies to ensure enrolment growth and diversification.
  • Recommend changes to existing processes that will lead to improvements in the level of customer service provided to agents.
  • Use of CRM and social media to deliver key messages and to engage with the prospective students. Promote the culture of collaboration, customer focus and quality services.
  • Prepare and submit weekly activity reports to ECC. Maintain a database and tracking system of student applications received/ offers issued and agent contacts made, and track offer and admission processes, providing a weekly report of activity.
  • Liaise with the institution international department to obtain Offer letters/ Offer packages and email the same on behalf of ECC to respective students/agents.
  • Facilitate all related communications to the student/agents as required.

 

Marketing

  • Liaise with ECC International Education recruitment personnel and provide marketing and administrative support services to ECC as required.
  • Create student testimonial, regional flyers, and other marketing collateral as required.
  • Work closely with ECC International Recruitment & Admission Team and Marketing colleagues to ensure a joined-up approach to the production of print and digital materials, with strong input into the brochure production process.
  • Liaise with ECC marketing coordinator to manage web content, ensuring it is accurate, up to date, agile and reflective of ECC operations and partnerships in different countries.

 

Relationships

  • Develop and maintain relationship with Institution’s in country reps, marketing staff.
  • Support and train ECC regional teams in offices and assist them with their recruitment efforts.
  • Provide accurate and customer-friendly information to any and all communication from current and potential students and the public via telephone, email and in- person.
  • Oversee the development of network of agents. Main relationships, oversee the development of ongoing training, ensure compliance with ECC policies and processes. Review, approve, manage, and terminate agent contracts as needed upon confirming with Senior Manager.

 

Leadership and Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the office of International Admissions and Recruitment by establishing objectives and priorities, fostering effective communication and teamwork and assisting team in defining shared and individual goals, meeting target dates and ensuring alignment of team goals.
  • Set, monitor and review key performance indicators for the international admissions and recruitment team’s activities, reporting outcomes and taking action as required to ensure the continuing effectiveness of international marketing and admissions functions.
  • Maintain oversight with complex casework, appeals and complaints and related correspondence pertaining to the international department’s admissions office.
  • Conduct and lead regular team meetings and follow up events with the Marketing and Admissions team.

 

Looking for candidates with:

  • Minimum 5 years of international student recruitment experience for secondary and/or post-secondary institutions.
  • Strong academic background / profile. A minimum of bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
  • Demonstrated success as a communicator with an exceptional communication verbal and written skills in English and Spanish/Vietnamese/Portuguese.
  • Ability to work successfully with other senior leaders within the company.
  • Proven ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner in a demanding high stress, fast paced environment over a sustained period of time.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision and establish own priorities.
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Experience working with educational consultants and or postsecondary institutions directly.
  • Comfortable using computer software including email, Office 365, Dropbox, familiarity with Salesforce CRM will be considered an asset.

The Admissions Officer is responsible for service-oriented and student-dedicated admissions advising for students who are interested in and/or applying to partnered institutions. The Admissions Officer provides pre-admission information to prospective students and provides advice on program suitability, eligibility, and placement based on an evaluation of student needs, prior academic history, and future goals.

The candidate represents the institutions and collects admission forms and supporting documents from the students for further procedure. After ensuring the documents to be complete and authentic, the candidate is expected to forward them to the colleges/universities for evaluation. If a student is accepted, the Admissions Officer helps to fulfill the financial conditions and pay fees to the academic institution.
